Iron Filtration Failure Mitigation

The pictures above came from a home that had a crack in their iron filtration system. The carbon filter cracked causing a leak that flooded their basement with two to three inches of contaminated water. As you can see the water was black and had an oil sheen floating on top. SERVPRO started mitigation services by extracting the water and sanitizing the floor. Unfortunately in this instance the contaminated water started wicking up the wall so we had to remove a couple feet of drywall. When our technicians arrived to pick up our drying equipment from mitigation when they saw that the basement had flooded again with the same problem. The iron filtration system was fixed again and we performed a second round of water extraction and floor sanitization. When the iron filtration was fully fixed and everything was cleaned up we replaced the dry wall, moved the customers contents back in to their home leaving it like it never even happened.
